2025 was a landmark year for the Sikh Motorcycle Club UK. From historic firsts and national recognition to international rides and grassroots community seva, this year reflected the strength, unity, and purpose of our growing brotherhood.
January – A Milestone Year Begins
5th Anniversary Celebrations & Club App Launch
The year opened with pride as we celebrated five years of Sikh Motorcycle Club UK at Guru Tegh Bahadur Gurdwara, Leicester. The event included Sukhmani Sahib Path, cake cutting, member awards, dignitary guests, and a Turban Tying Camp marking Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s Parkash Purab.
We also launched the official Sikh Motorcycle Club UK mobile app, connecting members through events, galleries, and community updates.

February – Community & Civic Engagement
BBC ‘Make a Difference Awards’ Launch
Members proudly welcomed the BBC Roadshow to Gurdwara Sahib Hamilton with bikes and dhol, supporting volunteers and community champions across Leicester.
Police & Armed Forces Engagement
We visited Leicestershire Police Headquarters, learning about BikeSafe and strengthening community ties. Members also attended a charity dinner at The Royal Leicesters in support of veterans and the Army Benevolent Fund.
March – Seva, Education & New Ground Broken
Historic First: Holla Mohalla in Crawley
We rode to Crawley for the first-ever Holla Mohalla celebrations, supporting turban tying seva, Gatka displays, and engaging families and children—another new chapter unlocked for the club.
Mother & Child Photoshoot Seva
A free Mother’s Day photoshoot at Guru Tegh Bahadur Gurdwara celebrated family, love, and community.
April – Vaisakhi & Spiritual Leadership
Nagar Kirtans & Open-Air Gurmat Samagam
We proudly led and supported Nottingham Nagar Kirtan (third consecutive year) and took part in Leicester’s first open-air Vaisakhi Gurmat Samagam, assisting with turban tying and live broadcasting.

May – Charity, History & Representation
Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR)
Members raised £1,108 for men’s mental health and prostate cancer research, riding with families and teaching the next generation the value of giving back.
Historic Legacy Honoured
We met the family of Giani Sunder Singh Sagar Ji, honouring the struggle that secured the right for Sikhs to ride while wearing the turban – an emotional and humbling moment for all members.
Manchester Nagar Kirtan – History Made
For the first time ever, motorcycles formed part of the Manchester Nagar Kirtan, a truly historic moment celebrated by the Sangat and widely covered by Sikh media.
June – Education, Inspiration & Brotherhood
Falcons Primary School & Community Events
From summer fetes to Akhand Path celebrations marking Falcons’ 10th anniversary, we proudly supported Sikh education and youth engagement.
Meeting a Global Legend
We were honoured to meet Malkiat Singh “The Flying Sikh of Canada”, sharing stories, rides, and inspiration across borders.

July – National Recognition
UK Parliament Representation
Sikh Motorcycle Club UK attended the UK Parliament for the launch of the Gurdwara Handbook and the APPG for British Sikhs 20th Anniversary – a major milestone for the club at a national level.

August – Community & Culture
Multicultural Festival, Leicester
With our motorcycle display, free sweets, and family engagement, we celebrated unity through culture, food, and shared values.
Summer Ride Outs
Ride-outs to Matlock Bath, Chatsworth, and Derbyshire villages strengthened bonds through brotherhood and shared journeys.
September – Brotherhood Without Borders
UK – UAE Connection
We proudly exchanged momentos with SINGHS MC U.A.E, reinforcing global Sikh rider unity.
London Ride & Sikh Heritage
Members rode through London landmarks and visited Caxton Hall, reflecting on Sikh history and sacrifice.
October – Remembrance, Mental Health & Media Recognition
Ride to the Wall 2025
Members attended the National Memorial Arboretum, honouring fallen heroes. The event received BBC coverage, highlighting Sikh representation in national remembrance.
World Mental Health Day
We stood together to raise awareness, reminding all that mental well-being matters just as much as physical safety.
November – Remembrance, Reflection & Community Pride
100 Years of the Arch of Remembrance – Leicester
A deeply emotional year marking 100 years since the unveiling of the Arch of Remembrance, including meetings with descendants of those who unveiled it in 1925.
Multi-Faith Remembrance Service
We proudly represented Sikh values at Harmony House, Leicester, laying wreaths and standing united with all faiths.
Motorcycle Live – NEC Birmingham
A family day out celebrating biking culture, learning, and friendship – ending with shared meals and memories.
Beyond the UK – Europe Rides 2025 
In 2025, our members also took the Sikh Motorcycle Club UK across Europe, riding through the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Spain. These international journeys marked a huge achievement – taking Sikh identity, discipline, and brotherhood beyond borders and onto the global stage.
Alongside this, regular local rides and meetups continued throughout the year, welcoming new members and strengthening friendships.
Looking Ahead
2025 was a year of historic firsts, national recognition, international growth, and unwavering seva. From Parliament to Punjab floods relief awareness, from Nagar Kirtans to Europe rides, the Sikh Motorcycle Club UK continues to move forward with purpose.
